1915rif. 18468Wallace ID: Coeur D'Alene Iron Works. Very Good. 1915. First Edition. Loose sheets. Held together by brass clips through holes puched on the left side. Most of this is made up of original photos of machinery/equipment and photographic reproductions of blue prints which appear as line drawings white on black of machinery produced by the company. The only dates I can make out on the blue prints are in the early to middle teens. No cover title pages etc. This would appear to be a put-together catalog for use by a salesman or in the factory. Mounted amongst the pages is a catalog for the Hyatt Roller Bearing Company showing some pretty neat mining equipment. That catalog is dated 1913 and is 32 pages. It is what it is.; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; ~50 pages . Coeur D'Alene Iron Works unknown

1850rif. 23992New York 1850. Very good overall. An interesting letter detailing the negotiation over wooden vs. iron railroad bridges. In this letter addressed to Strong M. M. Strong was "liable as endorser on paper for the Rutland and Washington Railroad Company which subsequently failed to an amount considerable exceeding all his property." He was sued in the Supreme Court of Vermont lter in the 1850s and looks to have been bankrupted losing his real estate marble quarry share etc. See "Reports of Cases Argued and Determined in the Supreme Court of Vermont vol. 42 Montpelier Vt 1870 by Wheelock Veazey a Vermont Civil War hero. Letter written on blue laid paper 4pp 8 x 10 1/4"written on 1pp docketed on the verso with period folds. A small raised oval in the top left corner unreadable by this cataloguer. Verso a little marked a little creased. unknown
