Book Mr Dear Friend After I parted from thee the other day I had some conversa tions with our landlady at the Inn at Cambridge upon the subject of having the Holy Scriptures in the different rooms as I had observed it done in som e other Inns. She said that every care should be taken of them. I am no w therefore anxious to know whether the Bible Society would grant a certain number of Bibles & Testaments for this purpose. I believe it has been done in some places. I hope thou will excuse my troubling thee in this way but I feel sure thou will be willing to aid me in it as it may be doing good t o others. When thou hath considered the subject be so kind as to inform me when thou thinks can be done to accomplish my wishes. The remembrance o f the time we spent together is very pleasant to me & I trust profitable. I can assure thee I felt quite refreshed .with the morning in thy room. I hope it may prove stimulatory to follow them who through faith & patience i nherit the promises. I am now attending my dear niece Priscilla Johnston wh o is confined & as I am rather pressed by many engagements I fear I must sa y farewell. Original Document 1997. Original Document. Fine. 6 1/4 X 8 1/2 Inches. Signed and dated November 3 1997. An outstanding example of Ford's now famous Warren Commission findings affirmation. As I understand it these were created by Ford's office and mailed to those who wrote to inquire about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and/or the findings of the Warren Commission on which he served. The document stated unequivocally that 1 Lee Harvey Oswald was the assassin and 2 The Commission found no evidence of a conspiracy foreign or domestic. Original Document unknown
