Il volume si sofferma su alcuni aspetti della figura e della cultura di Boccaccio: la sua vicenda biografica, il milieu religioso angioino e fiorentino, la produzione letteraria, con particolare attenzione al Decameron. L’analisi privilegia diversi motivi e tematiche utili all’esplorazione del mondo boccacciano: la povertà, che mostra una consapevole adesione a un ideale umanistico e segna momenti e traversie della vita del letterato; la satira antifratesca, il riuso della letteratura religiosa nel Decameron; la geografia del capolavoro, con l’analisi di luoghi e spazi in grado di orientarne l’esegesi. Chiudono il volume tre letture di novelle scelte tra la Quarta e la Quinta giornata che mettono in luce la maestria di Boccaccio nel combinare e reinterpretare i materiali delle diverse tradizioni. Il s'agit d'une histoire amoureuse entre Fleury et Blanchefleur, amour impossible entre un chrétien et une païenne. La première édition de cette traduction fut publiée en 1542 puis en 1555. The imprint is false printed in Paris. Giovanni Boccaccio In French Jean Bocace was an Italian author poet and correspondent of Petrach. Boccaccio wrote a number of notable works including the Decameron and On Famous Women. As a poet who wrote in the Italian vernacular Boccaccio is particularly noted for his realistic dialogue which differed from his contemporaries. Condition: In paper covered boards. Externally sound with some wear to spines and bumping to extremities. Spines browned. Ink signature to front pastedown of volume I. Internally generally firmly bound.
