I saggi iniziali informano a livello teorico e generale sul fenomeno della letteratura ludica in Spagna, e il relativo dibattito tra sport e cultura nella prima avanguardia, poi il libro affronta da vicino un gruppo di figure prestigiose della Generazione del 27: Gerardo Diego, Concha Ménendez Cuesta (poetessa e nuotatrice), Juan Larrea, Emilo Prados, José María Hinojosa, García Lorca, riservando anche attenzione alla particolare scrittura di Pablo Picasso, punto di riferimento per molti giovani artisti; mentre al cinema sonoro e alla sua importanza nella produzione letteraria, vengono dedicati ampi studi che esauriranno l'interessante pro cesso di scambio e interrelazione avvenuto fra i due generi artistici nel momento di maggiore fermento delle nuove istanze d'avanguardia in Spagna. Per ultimo e a conclusione del discorso avanguardista, viene lo studio dei 34 Carteles literarios, ispirati alla neonata grafica pubblicitaria (di cui vengono riprodotti otto manifesti) dello scrittore Ernesto Giménez Caballero, uno degli spiriti più innovatori, assieme a Ramón Gómez de la Serna, del linguaggio formale della Spagna moderna. Leggere i capitoli di La verità in pittura è come ripetere ogni volta il gesto con cui Lucio Fontana tagliava la tela, anche se in questo caso, a essere trafitto, è il tessuto ontologico, logocentrico e presenziale dell’immagine, mentre il fendente non è altro che la traccia. Modulata sul piano iconico, la traccia si configura infatti come il movimento differenziale dell’immagine, che scardina le giunture di ogni dicotomia possibile, ma anche di qualsiasi appropriazione: ontoteologica, mercantile, estetica, politica, simbolica. Così la traccia derridiana s’immerge nel mondo pittorico, in tutto quello che ne fa parte e soprattutto in ciò che spartisce, con il fine di scuotere ogni tipo di pre-determinazione concettuale intenta a definire quello che dovrebbe essere l’immagine-messa-in-opera. Mediante continui slittamenti semantici, come un passe-partout, superato il parergon kantiano, la traccia passa attraverso cornici, orli, bordi, lemmi, filtri, cartigli, cesure, firme, la vita e la morte, per poi infilarsi nelle scarpe dipinte da van Gogh. Che cosa intendiamo oggi quando parliamo di arte? Con Aisthesis, Jacques Rancière esplora alcuni momenti cruciali che hanno modificato profondamente le categorie interpretative e le pratiche artistiche dell’età moderna, definendo l’attuale regime estetico dell’arte. Lo stupore di Winckelmann di fronte al Torso del Belvedere, una visita di Hegel al museo, una serata trascorsa da Mallarmé alle Folies Bergère, una conferenza di Emerson, una mostra a Parigi o uno spettacolo a Mosca, ma anche l’avvento del cinema e oscuri reportage letterari sui braccianti dell’Alabama: quattordici scene, dalla Dresda del 1764 alla New York del 1941, per raccontare come una statua mutilata possa diventare un’opera perfetta, un mendicante sporco la raffigurazione dell’ideale, un mobile un tempio, una scala un personaggio, le circonvoluzioni di un velo una cosmogonia e il montaggio frenetico dei gesti la realizzazione estetica di un principio di uguaglianza. Smarcandosi dalle ricostruzioni ideologiche ed epocali del Novecento, Aisthesis traccia una controstoria della modernità artistica in cui riemerge un dialogo sotterraneo e a lungo perduto tra l’arte e l’orizzonte comune della vita sensibile. Gressent raconte sa rencontre avec Jamard et relate les difficultés que celui-ci rencontra pour retrouver un exemplaire de son propre livre, après qu'il eut été dépossédé de sa bibliothèque lors de la Révolution. 2 derniers feuillets d'index et privilège manquent. Exemplaire entièrement non rogné.
