In-8°, pp. 19, brossura originale. Ottimo stato. Contributo del noto filosofo e musicologo di scuola crociana relativo all'hegeliano napoletano Nicola Marselli (Napoli, 1832-Roma, 1899). Il Marselli, fatti gli studi nel Collegio militare della Nunziatella, fu ufficiale del genio nell'esercito borbonico e poi in quello italiano, e terminò la carriera col grado di generale di corpo d'armata. Senatore dal 1892, fu anche studioso di Hegel, scrittore militare (La guerra e la sua storia, 1875-'77) e insegnante alla Scuola superiore di guerra a Torino. Le sue idee musicali risentirono di Hegel e delle teorie relative alla "morte dell'arte".
