Signatures in ink at top and bottom of title-page reading Eugene Field and R.L. Stevenson. We believe the signatures to be the work of the notorious forgers of literary autographs Eugene Field II son of the eminent Chicago poet and columnist Eugene Field and the shady Harry Dayton Sickles. Their forgeries now collectible in themselves. The book however is real and except for the usual tanning to the free endpapers abutting the pastedowns a very good copy in an attractive slipcase.
