brossura Perché un saggio sul Malleus Maleficarum? Perché questo testo in latino, scritto alla fine del XV sec., è il simbolo, o meglio lo strumento, tramite cui fu attuato il genocidio passato alla storia come caccia alle streghe. Ma l'analisi verte su un punto mai acclarato a livello di analisi critica: si volle distruggere la donna, la femminilità, il concetto di uguaglianza tra i sessi. Si è sempre sostenuto che il fenomeno abbia riguardato in egual misura donne e uomini accusati di eresia, e addirittura che i secondi furono colpiti ben più delle prime: ebbene, è un'affermazione falsa, errata e completamente priva di qualsivoglia connotazione storica. L'analisi del Malleus Maleficarum dal punto di vista della femminilità al rogo vi convincerà che tutto, ma proprio tutto, fu ideato e realizzato per sterminare le donne, e soprattutto le donne che conoscevano i segreti della natura. La storia ha bisogno di poter mostrare, a tutte e a tutti, il proprio lato migliore: la verità.

La ricerca e la scoperta della verità storica sulle cosiddette streghe, o meglio, sulle druidesse di Benevento: donne sapienti che sembravano aver frequentato più mondi, in quanto detentrici di conoscenze antiche e preziose, costrette a subire accuse di stregoneria, soprusi e violenze di ogni tipo, torture terribili, processi - farsa e spesso, come conclusione di tutto ciò, la morte sul rogo, in virtù di uno scellerato patto tra poteri civile ed ecclesiastico, in un passato meno lontano da noi di quanto si possa credere. Una vera e propria vergogna storica quasi precipitata nell'oblio, su cui è doveroso fare luce e riflettere, in base a documenti originali. Il galateo tradizionale è oggi un anacronismo: una sovrastruttura corrosa, che non regge più alle spinte del nostro tempo svelto e concreto. Già la parola galateo, fa pensare a una sorta di stereotipata coreografia, frasi fatte e gesti di rito, oggi svuotato d'ogni vitalità e d'ogni autentico significato. br. Una regione ai piedi dei monti, punto d'incontro tra l'area linguistico-culturale transalpina e quella padana, già nettamente definita dalla configurazione morfologica: il Piemonte.
