Lists 15 parts of the program created or performed by 23 members of the class of 1901 7 males and 16 females including 3 Ednas. Edna Boyer must have had the best voice as she performed with both a duet and a quartet. Among the graduates was Helen Wieand 1885-1965 who went on to graduate from Mount Holyoke in 1906 and received a PhD from Bryn Mawr College in 1918. In 1917 she married Dr. Samuel Valentine Cole the second president of Wheaton College. She taught Latin and Greek at Rollins College from 1928 to 1930. Philadelphia 1861. Hardcover. Good . 16 x 10 cm. Mid-19th-century calf; black spine label with gilt-tooled title "Receipts. Blind-rolled decorative border on each board. All page edges black. Pages are ruled portrait-length. The first 2 pages contain records of payments from Samuel Bettle Jr. 1774-1861 to family members and the following 4 contain payments related to the settlement of Samuel Bettle's estate after his death in April 1861. Samuel Bettle was a member of a Quaker family in Philadelphia. Several pages following that contain pencilled records of the standings for the 8 National League teams as of Aug. 5 1904 as well as a drawing of a baseball field and the scores of several Phillies games against Boston and Cincinnati. The remainder of the notebook is blank. In Good Condition: leather torn at tail of spine; gilt lacking from spine label; pages removed at back of notebook leaving back hinge weak; otherwise clean and solid. <br/><br/> hardcover
