‎Lex‎

‎Handwritten letter from Potter Valley care of Fraser's Mill 1912‎

‎No Place: No Publisher 1912. Unbound. Good. Single lined sheet 8 by 5 inches. A short letter from "Lex" to his mother briefly discussing how hard it is to make a trip to the mill to send mail requiring an all day trip of 36 miles while following deer tracks through big timber at night to return to his camp. He talks a little of hunting as well as mentioning that whenever someone meets someone else they talk about the same old bull like hunting. The name Potter Valley perhaps indicates a California origin for the letter although there was also a settlement in Western Canada called Fraser's Mill.
