Illustrated wraps with an aircraft engine on the front cover and a black and white photo of a bomber airplane and airmen standing at attention. Folio. 32 pp. including covers. Black and white photos throughout. A pictorial look at Chanute Field a technical training school for soldiers then in the Army Air Force. This includes a look at combat training mechanical and other training involved in maintaining aircraft and ground facilities as well as documentation of entertainment and other aspects of a soldier's life. Many allusions to fighting in World War II throughout as well as photos of various aircraft. Also present is a two page handwritten letter on Army Air Forces letterhead dated October 21 1944 and written from a soldier to his mother and father. This letter describes life at the camp the P.X.s and the author's scheme with another soldier to get a new field jacket. GOOD condition. With the usual monthly almanac interspersed with tips for remedying various sicknesses and wounds using the gargling oil. First sold in 1833 by George W. Merchant this gargling oil was sold in two versions one for man and one for animals. GOOD condition. Minor staining soiling wrinkling and creasing to the wraps. In these letters names of the various alleged perpetrators are given including a lengthy list from New Mexico of those who claimed property also giving the coordinates of their land. ‎No Publisher Given 1777. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. A Parliamentary Chronicle: or accounts of the proceedings and debates of the House of Commons upon the opening of the present sessions. This spans from October 30 1776 to February 25 1777. No author. These proceedings open with an address by King George to parliament regarding the American Revolution. It begins "Nothing could have afforded me so much satisfaction as to have been able to inform you at the opening of this session that the troubles which have so long distracted my colonies in North America were at an end; and that my unhappy people recovered from their delusion had delivered themselves from the oppression of their leaders and returned to their duty …". After this address various members of parliament respond some with support for the war and others advocating granting America its independence. Some of these speeches go into detail in regard to troops morale conduct propaganda in the US press especially propaganda by General Gage. Also discussed within are Britainn's defenses against Spain and France Jamaica and many other interesting topics. The debates over the war with America are amazing historical references serving to frame the Revolutionary War through the eyes of the British. This book has been re-bound in blue cloth with the title in gilt in a small strip of leather on the spine. VERY GOOD condition with light soiling light fading and moderate scuffing mostly noticeable to the top and bottom of the spine. Light bumping and edgewear. Pages clean and solid but browning. Still very readable. The last page of the text seems to end mid sentence as if this was excerpted from a larger text. A very scarce historical record of the beginnings of the Revolutionary War in VERY GOOD condition. No Publisher Given unknown‎

An advertisement for the silent film Wings a 1927 movie starring Clara Bow Charles "Buddy" Rogers and Richard Arlen as well as a small role for Gary Cooper that according to Wikipedia "helped launch his career in Hollywood." ‎No Place: No printer or publisher Given. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. Handwritten store ledger from the Beverly Massachusetts area. Appears to be for a grocery store and perhaps was either owned by a Nathan W. Patch or by his relatives as his signature appears prominently on the first blank endpaper. Entries run from 1850 through the 1860's with some found in the back from 1875. Items appear as line entries with cost and the various purchaser's names at the top. Some names include Richard Woodberry Ezra Edwards Joseph Hillham Joseph Jewett Foster among others. The first half of the ledger bears these entries with the second half having blank pages and pages filled with what appears practice penmanship and basic math problems etc. Several pages in the rear are cut in half perhaps to serve some function to the ledger itself although this is not certain. Bound leather boards with marbled endpapers. In FAIR condition with heavy scuffing to the covers and extremities some loss of leather at the corners and spine and minor to moderate soiling. Heavy forward lean to the binding. Interior is solid with uneven fading to the pages with some being rather faded and thus hard to read and others with little to no fading.
