‎* STUTTGARTER BRAUEREIEN - Erinnerung an wagemutige Unternehmer von einst mit ihren Brauereien und Biergärten recherchiert und bearbeitet im Eigenverlag von Bernd Kaiser (Herausgeber) + Rolf Hofmann + Adolar Wiedemann. Die im Jahr 2020 vom Münzen- und Medaillensammler Bernd Kaiser veröffentlichte Broschüre über eine Reihe Stuttgarter Firmen präsentierte mehrere interessante Abbildungen von Personenmedaillen diverser Firmeninhaber, sowie Werbematerial und sonstige interessante Hinweise auf immer noch oder nicht mehr existierende Firmen. Hiervon ausgehend wuchs dann das Interesse an der Erforschung längst nicht mehr existierender und auch oftmals vergessener Brauereien. Aus der Vielzahl der einstmals in Stuttgart vorhandenen Brauereien konnten einige hervorragende Betriebe auch in genealogischer Hinsicht detailliert betrachtet werden. Oftmals sind Brauereibesitzer nicht sehr alt geworden, das unternehmerische Wagnis forderte seinen Tribut in Krankheit und allzu frühem Tod. Auch war man lange noch im 19. Jahrhundert machtlos gegen oftmals tödliche bakterielle Erkrankungen. Zum vorliegenden Brauereibuch gibt es leider sehr wenige Medaillen von den Inhabern der beschriebenen Brauereien. Eine Ausnahme ist die Bronzegussplakette von Bildhauer und Modelleur David Fahrner aus Freudenstadt für Paul Dinkelacker, den damaligen Mitinhaber der Brauerei Dinkelacker. Diese Plakette mit der Bezeichnung: ?Bundesvater Dinkelacker? ist im Besitz der Stadt Freudenstadt. Heute jedoch noch erwähnenswert und im Buch präsentiert sind jedoch Biermarken aller Art und Brauereimünzen aus der Kollektion von Bernd Kaiser. Bereits zu Beginn der jetzt im Druck präsentierten Arbeit entstand der Kontakt zu Rolf Hofmann, der sich seit 30 Jahren mit genealogischen Recherchen im Rahmen der Forschungsaktivität von ?Harburg Project? befasst und der seit Jahren bereits umfangreich zur Stuttgarter Brauereigeschichte sorgfältig geforscht hatte. Viele der detaillierten Brauereibeschreibungen im Buch wurden von ihm verfasst. Auch diverse Abbildungen stammen von ihm, sowie Fotos von Grabmalen diverser Brauereibesitzer aus dem Heslacher Friedhof, dem Waldfriedhof, sowie dem Fangelsbach und Hoppenlau Friedhof. Die Fotos von Marken, Medaillen und Plaketten sind Teil der reichhaltigen Sammlung von Bernd Kaiser. Die sorgfältige Bearbeitung des Bildmaterials besorgte ?Hoffotograf? Adolar Wiedemann, der auch für die aufwendige Gesamtgestaltung zuständig war. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn der nun vorliegende Beitrag zur Stuttgarter Brauereigeschichte auf ein gute Resonanz stoßen würde und andere Heimatforscher zu kreativer Kritik und weiterer Recherche zum Thema ermuntern könnte. Brauereien mit ihren Saalbauten und Biergärten waren insbesondere im 19. Jahrhundert von grosser sozialer Bedeutung. Radio und Fernsehen gab es noch nicht, elektrischen Strom erst dann gegen Ende des Jahrhunderts. Die Brauereien versorgten damals nicht nur zahllose Gastwirtschaften mit ihrem begehrten Gerstensaft, sondern boten zudem auch noch Gelegenheit zu geselligem Zusammensein, dies insbesondere in den Saalbauten und Biergärten mit kulturellen Angeboten aller Art. Musik und Theateraufführungen boten attraktiven Zeitvertreib für die Bevölkerung insbesondere am Wochenende. Wenig erinnert heute noch an diese Vielfalt von einst. Wehmütige Erinnerung geblieben ist heute noch die ehemalige Gastwirtschaft und der Saalbau mit Biergarten der Brauerei Frank in Stuttgart-Heslach, Ecke Schickhardt Strasse und Unterem Wannenweg. Die architektonische Hülle existiert noch (um 1900 errichtet vom Architekturbüro Bihl & Woltz), die Nutzung heute erinnert jedoch nicht mehr an die Brauerei Frank.‎
