M. und eine geplante Aufführung seines Liederzyklus für Sopranstimme und Klavier (op. 27) "Das Marienleben": "Ich mache entsetzlich viel Musik, muss endlos geigen und bratschen, komponiere kiloweise und bin fast ununterbrochen auf Reisen […]" (1. V. 1923). - "Neulich haben wir hier Strawinskys histoire du soldat in einer sehr feinen Aufführung […] herausgebracht. (Ich habe gegeigt.) Es hatte einen grossen Erfolg. In Leipzig, Berlin und in der Schweiz führen wir das Stück im Winter auf. Meine Lieder, von denen ich Ihnen damals einige zeigte, sind nunmehr alle fertig. Sie sind vor kurzem hier aufgeführt worden […]" (12. VII. 1923). - "Ich habe herzlich gelacht, als ich Ihre gutgemeinten Vorschläge gelesen habe.
