Each part - numbered I to IV and consisting of either six or eight pages and issued between Monday April 4 and Thursday April 28 1904 - consists of accounts of the journey and its various stopping points such as Taormina Athens and Constantinople gossipy reports of activities of those on board with numerous passengers named including 'Sports and Amusements' 'Divine Services' reports of other ships such as the 'illumination of the Italian squadron' in the bay of Naples in honour of the Kaiser's visit to Naples and of an overland trip to Corinith. The first two issues also each include a column of 'War Notes' charting events during the Russo Japanese War of 1904-5; the narrative which includes references to the siege of Port Arthur is - as often for English language productions - significantly weighted towards support of the Japanese against the mighty 'Russian Bear': .
