1900Used hardcover with dust jacket. No publishing date listed. Estimated circa 1960. No ISBN but printing seems relatively modern. Name and date from a previous owner on FEP lists year as 1993, but suspected second owner. Jacket reversibly reinforced with plastic and paper covers, though is tatty around edges and corners with some sections missing and with noticeable surface wear. Binding is well preserved, though with softened edges and slight weakening of inner hinges from use, though no seperation is noticeable or evident. Contents are clean and sound throughout. MB Used

L'autrice racconta l'evoluzione dell'abito, di complementi e accessori del vestire, con uno sguardo attento ai costrutti sociali, religiosi, psicologici, economici e stilistici di primaria importanza. È quasi impossibile separare l'abito dalle circostanze storiche, perché la moda si manifesta come una rappresentazione diretta degli avvenimenti e spesso ne è fortemente condizionata. Gli elementi estetici determinano veri e propri "stili del corpo", definiscono la silhouette formale, l'immagine complessiva, e concorrono a determinare la linea dei capi indossati.
