This is the second volume in what was to be a three-volume work on the aboriginal arts of the Americas but Covarrubias passed away in 1957 and the third volume covering South America was never completed. Very Good previous owner's name in ink to front free pastedown otherwise internally clean and sharp hinges tight and square binding has minor age-toning and wear to extremities but is otherwise bright and clean in Very Good- dust jacket with a 1-1/2" tear to upper edge of front cover near spine three long scuff marks to lower half of front cover sunning to spine and upper half of front cover overall age-toning and light soiling.
