Gorgeous binding elegant typography; a book to treasure. With an enthralling chronology and a first rate introduction by Richard Dawkins this a perfect example of what John Updike said 'This Everyman series is the edition of record.' Today this still reads like a thriller. Okay it is a cerebral thriller but in combination with the Voyage Of The Beagle it is still a stirring account and a vitally important text. 1st Edition.
