Wittgenstein e la filosofia austro-tedesca
br. La filosofia contemporanea deve molto a due filosofi austriaci - Edmund Husserl e Ludwig Wittgenstein. I problemi che quest'ultimo ha messo al cuore della filosofia analitica si distinguono molto spesso dalle questioni sollevate dai padri di questa tradizione, Frege, Moore, Russell e Ramsey. Questi problemi si trovavano tuttavia al centro delle tradizioni, austriache e poi austro-tedesche, legate ai nomi di Bolzano e di Brentano: la psicologia descrittiva degli eredi di Brentano, la fenomenologia di Husserl e dei suoi primi allievi e le diverse scuole della psicologia della "Gestalt". Si tratta di problemi che appartengono alla filosofia della mente e del linguaggio: che cos'è voler dire qualcosa, volere, voler fare, provare, contare su una certezza primitiva? Esistono oggetti psicologici o mentali privati? "Io" designa qualcosa? Che rapporto c'è tra il non-senso, il significato e le regole? Tra le regole, i segnali che ci guidano e i simboli che rappresentano? L'insieme dei mentalismi, platonismi ed essenzialismi che spesso caratterizzano la filosofia austro-tedesca contrasta col rigetto sistematico da parte di Wittgenstein di tutti questi "ismi". È tuttavia evidente che quest'ultimo, proprio come i suoi predecessori e contemporanei austro-tedeschi, metta la descrizione della mente e del linguaggio al centro delle sue riflessioni.

(picc. manc. e lievi tracce d'uso; lieve abrasione al risguardo posteriore), 30 cc.nn. fra cui: 8 veline grandi, 4 veline piccole, e con 3 (su 4) elementi di carta applic. a mano (1 è una plaquette di 4 pp., applic. al risguardo di retrocopertina. Manca la 2a plaquette). Il volume è interamente illustrato, con carte diverse colorate, fustellate e con pagine "bucate". Testo di Munari. Affascinante libro per bambini "dove si vede (non si racconta a parole, si vede) una storia di gatti che vanno per i tetti, stampati in blu su carta nera". Un capitolo è su carta velina semitrasparente, con l'immagine di un prato: ciuffi d'erba sono stampati in verde e, sovrapposti, danno l'idea della profondità del prato. Un altro capitolo è su carta da pacco grigia, con delle aperture sagomate che richiamano una grotta, e il fiume sotterraneo è rappresentato da pesci blu stampati su veline piccole. br. Una scheda di lettura editoriale è un genere letterario di difficile definizione e può prendere forme molto diverse a seconda di chi la scrive: è una recensione un po' più informale del solito, un appunto di servizio, un testo creativo, un divertissement, uno sfogo... Ma in realtà non è che una veste più professionale di un'abitudine molto naturale in tutti i lettori: parlare di un libro che si è letto a qualcuno che ancora non l'ha letto. Con entusiasmo, con precisione, con fastidio per la noia che si è provata. Una sola cosa non pertiene ai lettori non professionali, e cioè la valutazione editoriale, il suggerimento di pubblicare o non pubblicare quel libro. Valutazione che può contemplare una serie di parametri assai varia, da quelli ideologici a quelli commerciali, cercando di non dimenticare mai l'identità della casa editrice. In questo volume Tommaso Munari ha raccolto 194 schede scritte da cento fra i più famosi lettori che l'Einaudi ha avuto nel corso degli anni. Dai "padri fondatori" come Pavese, Bobbio e Mila, agli scrittori "organici" alla casa editrice come Natalia Ginzburg, Vittorini, Calvino, Fruttero e Lucentini, Manganelli, ai grandi studiosi che frequentavano le riunioni del mercoledì, come De Martino, Cantimori, Musatti, Argan, Contini, Caffè, Ripellino, Jesi, Segre e tanti altri, senza dimenticare il mitico Bobi Bazlen che proprio nell'attività di suggeritore editoriale ha fatto convergere tutto il suo percorso intellettuale.
