Come si legge sulla pagina pubblicitaria dell’ultimo numero: “On Friday, May 3rd will be published the first number of the most beautiful, witty and well-informed magazine British journalism has yet produced. (mm. 255x165), t. tela coeva, tit. oro al dorso, pp. 380, molto ben illustrato da 11 (su 12) tavv. f.t. in cromolitografia (di cui 2 in b.n.) relative a figurini di moda: vi sono raffigurate toilettes per donne e bambini, di uso corrente e per le grandi occasioni. Raccolta di 12 numeri di questa rivista dedicata all’educazione, all’istruzione e alla moda giovanile, dal novembre 1855 all’ottobre 1856. Ben conservato.

Mancano le pp. 3/4 // dal n. 1 (10 luglio) al n. 35 (31 dicembre), pp. 280, con 35 tavole f.t. Manca il n. 28. Solo testi con fiorit. o aloni ma complessivam. buon esemplare.

Testo ben conservato.

In-folio (mm. 405x300), fascicoli sciolti di ca. 20 pp. cad., ben illustrati da numerose immagini xilografiche in bianco e nero, con annunci pubblicitari (in parte illustrati) e pregevoli cartamodelli, più volte ripieg. (presenti nella maggioranza dei fascicoli). Testi in carattere gotico; conservate alcune copertine, a colori e in bianco e nero. Rara rivista di moda tedesca, nata nel 1854 e pubblicata fino al 1933, inizialmente con frequenza bisettimanale (dal dicembre 1854 al gennaio 1857) e in seguito settimanale (gennaio 1857-1933). Offriamo un lotto composto da 3 annate:<br> - 1908 (54° anno): 43 fascicoli (su 48). Mancano i nn. 5, 18, 19, 38 e 46 - I nn. 25, 27, 29, 30, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 43 e 47 sono scompleti. Presenti 4 pp. di Indice dell’annata. - 1909: primi 20 numeri + il 23. Sono scompleti: n. 1 (mancano le pp. 9/10) - 13 (le pp. 181/182) e n. 16 (da p. 227 a 230). - 1910: 47 fascicoli (su 48), manca solo il n. 31. Inoltre mancano di pp. i numeri: 11 (pp. 151/152) - 13 (pp. 181/182) - 17 (pp. 241-244) - 37 (pp. 521/522) - 39 (pp. 533/544 - 549/550) - 45 (pp. 635-642) - 47 (pp. 663/664). Parecchi fascicoli sono sciupati (per strappi, arrossature, fioriture, mancanza del dorso e quindi sono a fogli sciolti).

In-folio (mm. 391x280), volume con legatura sciupata in mz. pelle coeva (dorso con mancanze e abrasioni ai piatti, risg. strappati), di pp. 386, molto ben illustrato da numerose immagini xilografiche in b.n. nel testo (in carattere gotico), relative alla moda femminile. Di questa rara rivista tedesca, nata nel 1854 e pubblicata fino al 1933, inizialmente con frequenza bisettimanale (dal dicembre 1854 al gennaio 1857) e quindi settimanale (gennaio 1857-1933), offriamo l’annata del 1878 - completa in 48 numeri - dal n. 1 (1 Gennaio) al n. 48 (23 Dicembre). Mancano solo le pp. 9/10 del n. 1, e la prima pag. del n. 27 è stata ritagliata. Tutta la raccolta è ben conservata.

In-4 gr. (mm. 338x245), 2 volumi rilegati in mz. pergamena con ang., titolo ms. al dorso, conservate le bellissime copertine a colori eseguite da Erté (pseud. di Romain de Tirtoff, 1892 - 1990), celeberrimo disegnatore e scenografo francese di origine russa. Ogni numero (di pp. 118/224, inclusa la ricchissima pubblicità) è molto ben illustrato (foto e disegni, in b.n. e a colori) da importanti artisti quali: Baron De Meyer, Helen Dryden, Raleigh, W. Smithson Broadhead, e vi figurano racconti (in pre-edizione libraria), articoli, servizi di moda e molto altro, scritti da celebrati autori dell’epoca fra cui: D.H. Lawrence, Somerset Maugham, Barrington, Fannie Hurst, Anita Loos (l’autrice de “Gli uomini preferiscono le bionde”, apparso su Harper’s Bazaar del 1925) e Hugh Walpole. Di questa famosa rivista mensile di moda, offriamo l’annata completa del 1926, che contiene fra l’altro: Somerset Maugham W. “The end of the flight” ("prima edizione") - Baron De Meyer “Modern Incongruities”.
