<p>Une majorité de citoyens ne s’intéressent que peu ou prou à l’Histoire de France celle que l’on expose avec un grand H dans les musées et les bibliothèques que l’on commente avec plus ou moins de conviction et de discernement au sein des milieux politiques. L’interprétation qui en est faite étant le plus souvent dictée en fonction de préoccupations paradoxalement particulières principalement s’il s’agit d’épisodes récents ou relativement récents. Elle est enseignée – en principe – dans les établissements scolaires sous l’égide du ministère de l’Education nationale. Elle est officielle et il n’est guère recommandé pour les apprenants de tenter remettre en cause le déroulement des événements tels qu’ils ont été édictés par les pouvoirs politiques successifs pas plus qu’il n’est conseillé de prétendre contester la biographie des personnages plus ou moins illustres qui ont marqué de façon pas nécessairement honorable les siècles écoulés. Puis il y a les petites histoires ; elles viennent agrémenter la grande. Elles sont souventefois surprenantes cruelles mais également savoureuses en diverses circonstances. Lorsque l’on parvient à assembler les deux chroniques il est possible d’obtenir un récit passionnant que les romanciers les plus imaginatifs se trouveraient bien en peine d’engendrer.<br /><br />Constatons simplement que l’Histoire de France est utilisée régulièrement par de nombreux auteurs et cinéastes afin de planter le décor ou la trame de leurs intrigues. Cela n’est certainement pas dû au fruit du hasard.<br /><br />Pour la rédaction de cet ouvrage l’auteur s’est attelé à amalgamer la chronique officielle à la légende les événements majeurs aux anecdotes secondaires ou considérées comme telles. Il en résulte un ouvrage fort intéressant et très agréable à lire. La forme d’écriture reste celle habituellement ancrée dans les gènes de l’auteur c'est-à -dire profondément teintée d’humour souvent caustique mais toujours pertinente… et impertinente !<br /><br />Une façon bien agréable de revisiter non seulement l’Histoire de France mais également celle de pays frontaliers tant elles sont imbriquées les unes dans les autres depuis de nombreux siècles.</p> Editions Dedicaces paperback
