A sick boy is trapped on the same floor as him as well as an adulterous couple and an old couple content to die. The boy is revealed to have a bottle of nitroglycerine and plans to take out the whole building at 5:30 am on July 16th to make the occasion of the first atomic bomb leaving the police in a race against time to figure out how to diffuse the situation. <br/><br/>Set in New York City. <br/><br/>Gray titled wrappers. Both drafts SIGNED by screenwriter David Henderson in holograph ink on the title page in 1992 and each has a lengthy inscription about the development of the script noting "Michael L. Parker" and his investment in the film the script's general plot and characters a proposed directorial role for Robert N. Zagone "San Francisco Rock: A Night at the Family Dog" 1970 television movie and revisions Henderson made in order to "make the film roughly a page a minute." <br/><br/>A cursory look at the script leads us to believe the story is set in a desolate perhaps post-apocalyptic Southwest landscape and the overall theme seems to have crime/thriller elements i.e. murder guns swords. <br/><br/>1987 draft:<br/><br/>Blue stiff titled wrappers. Vintage borderless photograph of director David Lynch actor Jack Nance and cinematographer Herbert Cardwell on the set of the 1977 film. holograph annotations on the verso. <br/><br/>"Eraserhead" Lynch's first feature film was was shot piecemeal on an AFI backlot in Los Angeles over a period of five years beginning in 1972. In 1973 two years into the project cinematographer Herbert Cardwell shown in this photo died in his sleep at the age of 35. He was replaced after four weeks of searching by Frederick Elmes. <br/><br/>David Lynch's first feature film. The AFI provided the director with use of their lot where he also lived during much of filming at no charge but he had difficulty getting financial assistance from them on the basis of his 20-page script and decidedly unorthodox methods. Based on Anne Piper's 1959 novel "Marry at Leisure" about Candida Ferris who goes to live with her relatives after the death of her father. Bored with life she leaves for Paris where she meets a young student and becomes pregnant but keeps the baby a secret from her family. Bored yet again with life she leaves for Italy where she meets an American and is soon pregnant again. As she leaves Italy a woman gives her baby to Candida at the train station. So with two babies and one on the way her life is unraveling quickly and her only confidant is Savage Andrews the caretaker of her late father.
