A short piece advocating for the Victory Liberty Loan fifth in a series of bonds issued by the US government to raise funds in support of World War I. This loan was issued in April of 1919. Rankin draws on personal anecdotes from World War I as well as alluding to lurking threats from Germany to encourage people to purchase this bond. Rankin was a member of the 12th Field Artillery of the Second Division of the American Expeditionary Forces. GOOD condition. Some soiling to the covers with uneven darkening and fading.
