précédées d'une notice sur sa vie et les ouvrages d'Hamilton par M.Augier + table des noms propres, choix d’épîtres en vers et de la correspondance "Les Mémoires du Chevalier de Grammont" est un célèbre ouvrage littéraire écrit par Antoine Hamilton, un écrivain français du 17e siècle. Le livre a été publié pour la première fois en 1713, après la mort de l'auteur. Cet ouvrage est une œuvre de fiction basée sur des personnages et des événements réels de l'époque du roi Charles II d'Angleterre. Le "Chevalier de Grammont" était en réalité un personnage historique, Philibert, comte de Gramont, un courtisan français réputé pour ses aventures et sa vie amoureuse tumultueuse à la cour de Charles II. Les Mémoires du Chevalier de Grammont sont écrits sous la forme d'un récit autobiographique fictif, où le chevalier relate ses expériences et ses rencontres avec diverses personnalités de l'époque, tout en offrant un regard plein d'anecdotes et d'humour sur la vie à la cour et les intrigues amoureuses.
